A. Q. Q. ABOAGYE (PhD)
Dr. Aboagye is a full time senior lecturer in finance at the University of Ghana Business School. He is also a co-ordinator of the Danida Centre for International Business here. He holds a Ph.D from McGill University. His areas of expertise include: analysis of issues in corporate finance and financial markets; analysis of economic growth theory; skills in econometric analysis; and good understanding of options, futures and other derivative securities among others. He teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses and is an active researcher.

His research publications include journal articles, books and contributions to edited
books. Their titles include
o “Cointegration and Causality of Analysis of Ghanaian Exports, Foreign, Domestic and Human Capital”;
o “An Analysis of Short-Run Response of Export and Domestic Agriculture in Sub-Saharan Africa”;

Dan Ofori (PhD)
Dan Ofori is an Applied Management and Project Management Specialist. He has considerable teaching, research and consulting experience with expertise in Project Management, Policy Analysis, Governance, Human Resource Management and Strategic Management. He is currently a Lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon and also a Consultant with the Ministry of Trade & Industry; and Ministry of Lands, Forestry and Mines. Dan Ofori has worked as a Consultant for CDD-Ghana: as a Monitoring & Evaluation Policy Reviewer on World Bank/DFID projects; and as Lead Consultant on the Ghana Africa Peer Review Mechanism (NEPAD). He has also worked as a Consultant with PsyconH.R, an Organisational Advisory & HR firm; and Cypher Consult, a Management Consulting firm. He has worked as a Project Manager with DITT, Senior Analyst with L&H and Market Analyst with F&S, all in Brussels, Belgium and with the Ministry of Work and Pensions in the UK. He has managed and led several research, consultancy and governance assignments in the academic, public, NGO, SME and private sectors

Charles K.D Adjasi (PhD)
Charles K.D. Adjasi is currently a doctoral student at the University of Stellenbosch Business School and affiliated to the Africa Centre for Investment Analysis at the University of Stellenbosch Business School Cape Town South Africa. His PhD topic is on “Links between stock market development and key economic growth variables in selected African countries”. He holds an MPhil Economics and a BA Econs. from the University of Ghana Legon (2001) and has been teaching since then both at the Department of Economics and University of Ghana Business School, University of Ghana. He is interested in development economics and finance and has been involved in research on international trade, finance and development, poverty analysis and stock market developments in Africa. He has been a consultant/Instructor for the World Bank Institute, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, and The Trades Union Congress of Ghana on a number of projects notable amongst which is the World Bank Poverty Measurements and Diagnostics, Trade, Finance and Development. He is a researcher with the DANIDA Centre for International Business University of Ghana Business School where his research is on the productivity of Ghanaian exporting firms. He is also a researcher at the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) Nairobi Kenya and is working on a project on “sustainability and success of microfinance: the case of Ghana for the AERC”.

Albert Gemegah (PhD)
Academic: Ph.D. (Risk Management and Insurance); Professional: Chartered Insurance Practitioner (CIP) and Associate of the Chartered In¬surance Institute of London (ACII).
Specialised knowledge includes: Risk and insurance technique; risk management; insurance markets; insurance business management in developing economies.

Research Interests include:
Insurance Markets and the Management of Insurance Companies in Developing Economies; Risk management and Insurance in International Trade; Corporate Governance and Strategy in the Insurance Industry; Micro Insurance in Ghana

Consultancy Projects include:
Training programs for the insurance and banking sectors in Ghana at the executive, top and middle management levels; developing a Risk Management Training Manual for the Public Financial Management Reform Program, Ghana, etc.
At the international level, involved in various projects including the strategic positioning of an international reinsurance company towards the introduction of the Euro; Also prepared a German financial conglomerate towards the establishment of a new company; Led the organisational restructuring of an insurance consulting firm; Involved in a strategic analysis and evaluation of the presence and performance of a large service com¬pany within given regional markets in Germany.

Responsibilities vary, including: Development of concept, project design, and project management including co-ordination, do¬cu¬mentation and presentation of results.

Clients include: State Insurance Company Ltd, National Insurance Commission, Institute of Directors, Centre for Management Research and Professional Development, Legon; Ministry of Finance, Accra; .ACG Assekuranz Consulting GmbH, Hamburg ; IDEAL Insurance Company, Berlin;. Dr. Rittner Unternehmens¬beratung, Hamburg.

Mohammed Amidu
Mr. Amidu is a Chartered Accountant and Financial Policy Analyst with a focus in Financial Reengineering, Corporate Finance, Treasury and Governmental Accounting. He has over 6 years of academic, research and consulting experience and for the past 3 years has been working on various aspect of Microfinance in Ghana. He is a lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon. Amidu obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Ghana in 2002 and has been teaching at the Department of Accounting, University of Ghana Business School. Before the teaching appointment, Amidu has been working with a private company as a Director of Finance and Administration. This practical experience has given him invaluable insights into the challenges faced by business especial Small and Medium Scale Enterprise with regard to their financial information needs. In this capacity he successfully set an efficient and reliable accounting system for SMEs. He has been involved in research on Corporate Financial Reporting and Banking.

Eme Umoeka Fiawoyife
Eme Fiawoyife is a lecturer in Finance in the Department of Finance at the University of Ghana Business School. She holds a B.Sc. degree in Business Education from the University of Calabar, Nigeria and an MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana. Eme Fiawoyife has consulted for private sector enterprises, SMEs, NGOs and churches.
She has trained and facilitated in several workshops for State and Local Government personnel in Nigeria. She has worked with the Audit Service in Nigeria, Eagle Oil and West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) in Ghana. Her research interest is in international financing, emerging capital markets, and money market issues.

Joshua Abor
Joshua Abor is a senior lecturer in the Department of Finance, University of Ghana Business School. He has taught several finance courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Joshua is very active in research. He has a number of publications in reputable journals including Journal of Risk Finance, African Finance Journal, Perspectives on Global Development and Technology, Corporate Governance: International Journal of Business in Society and Emerging Market Finance & Trade. His research interests include international finance, small business finance, corporate governance and development finance. Joshua recently won the Emerald’s Highly Commended Award 2006 for a paper on “Managing Foreign Exchange Risk among Ghanaian Firms” published in the Journal of Risk Finance. Joshua is currently a PhD student with the University of Stellenbosch Business School. His thesis topic is on the “Capital Structure and Financing of SMEs: Empirical Evidence from Ghana and South Africa”.

Robert E. Hinson
Robert Hinson is a lecturer in the Department of Marketing at the University of Ghana Business School. He has two dozen articles accepted for publication in peer reviewed journals and has also recently published a book on Service Marketing Management. Robert is currently working on four new books that centre on themes like services marketing management, service quality and relationship selling. Robert’s research passions revolve around service marketing management and e-business\applied ICT. Robert recently won a certificate for outstanding research paper at the 2006 International Academy of E-business conference for a co-authored conceptual paper entitled: “Towards an E-Markets Model”. Robert also won two best presenter awards at the 6th Annual International Academy of African business conference in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania and won two more at the 7th Annual International Academy of African business conference in GIMPA, Accra, Ghana. Robert is currently a doctoral student in Aalborg University where he is researching e-business practices of small Ghanaian exporters. Adelaide Naa Amerley Kastner (PhD)
Adelaide Kastner is a lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School and the Head of the Department of Marketing. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Management option), a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing option), and a Doctorate degree in International Business. She teaches include International Marketing, International Business Management, Elements of Marketing, Sales Management, Advertising and Sales Promotion, Integrated Marketing Communications, Consumer Behaviour, and Retailing. Her work also involves supervision of students’ theses and academic advisement. Dr. Adelaide Kastner has served on a number of boards and committees at the University. In 1997, she was a member of the Editorial Board of the Legon Export Outlook and served as the Deputy Editor in 1998. From 1997 to 2000, she was a member of the Board of the Faculty of Arts, University of Ghana. From 2003 to 2004 she was a member of the Appointments Committee at the University of Ghana Business School. Currently, she is a member of the University of Ghana Academic Board. In addition, at the University of Ghana Business School, she is a member of the following: Finance Board, Board of Business Studies, Academic Affairs Committee, and the Joint Faculty/Student Consultative Committee. Since 1999 she has been a member of the Board of Trustees, University of Ghana Business School Facilities Improvement Trust Fund. She is also a member of the International Society on Marketing and Development. Her areas of research and publications have been in Marketing, International Business and Strategy.

Bill Puplampu (PhD)
Bill Puplampu is an academic and a practicing Chartered Psychologist (UK-BPS) with specialization in Occupational and Organisational Psychology. He has considerable research, teaching and consulting experience in the application of organizational psychology to Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour. He has managed and been involved in several research, consultancy and governance assignments. He has lectured at the Universities of Westminster, London Metropolitan and East London (UK) and the University of Ghana, where he is currently a Senior Lecturer at the School of Administration. On joining the School, he introduced two major courses: International Human Resource Management and Strategic HRM, both at the MBA level. He also pioneered the introduction of Project Management as a pathway on the Executive MBA programme. He was promoted Senior lecturer within 3 years of appointment. He has worked as a Senior Associate Consultant with the Management Consultancy, Public Sector, Corporate Finance & Restructuring as well as Human Capital Solutions practices of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Ghana. He now directs the consulting firm - PsyconH.R – set up during his sabbatical year, and through which various applied psychological, HR and Organisational services are delivered to private, public and NGO sector clients. His professional focus is on the development and application of psychological concepts to national development, corporate and individual dimensions of work life. Bill enjoys the process of knowledge impartation and the leveraging of life & corporate improvement, which can be achieved through research, applied interventions, thought leadership and teaching.

Bedman Narteh (PhD)
Dr.Bedman is a Marketing Lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School and doctoral student at Aalborg University, Denmark. His research interest includes Strategic alliances, Knowledge Management and Strategic Management. Prior to his current appointment, he taught Business Management at Labone Secondary School, where he became the head of the Business department and later a member of the board of governors of the school. Bedman has been a Marketing resource person for AITEC Ghana limited. He has also attended a number of doctoral courses and seminars in Spain, Finland, Norway, and the famous Copenhagen Business School. He is also a researcher with ENRECA at the Centre of international Business Studies, University of Ghana Business School. He has contributed a chapter to their current book; Internationalisation and Enterprise Development in Ghana, Adonis and Abbey Publishers. He also has two articles that are currently undergoing the review process in the Journal of Knowledge Management and the African Journal of Business and Economic Research.

Simon K. Harvey
Mr. Harvey holds an M. Phil in Economics from the University of Ghana. He joined the University of Ghana Business School in 2005. His areas of research interest are:
i. foreign direct investment
ii. international trade
iii. microfinance
iv. microenterprise development
v. applied econometrics

In consultancy, he has worked on Statistical Analysis of Human Right Violation Statements for the National Reconciliation Commission (NRC); Study on Socio-Economic Contribution of Fisheries in Ghana for the FAO; Harmonisation of National Accounts in Non-UEMOA ECOWAS countrie for ECOWAS Secretariat; National Policy Research Study on Child Labour for the ILO and Baseline Survey in Mpohor – Wassa East for World Vision Ghana

Dr. Kuada is Associate Professor in the Department of Business Studies at Aalborg University. He holds a PhD in Business Economics from Copenhagen University.
