Department of Operations & Management Information Systems
The Department of MIS offers courses leading to the following certifications:
Master of Business Administration (MIS Option):
This is a two-year rigorous course. In the first year students take courses in all areas of business administration. In the second year, in addition to courses in MIS and other areas, students also write a two-semester “long-essay” under supervision. Students with a good first degree in any area are admittable.
Master of Philosophy (MIS option)
This is also a two-year rigorous course in business administration focusing on MIS. The emphasis is research and students spend the entire second year in the programme writing an M. Phil Thesis under supervision. Plans are underway to introduce the Doctor of Philosophy degree.
