DANIDA Centre for International Business The Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) became an integral part of UGBS, then School of Administration-SOA, in January 1997. The involvement of DANIDA in the business school resulted in the setting of the DANIDA Centre for International Business.
The primary objective of the Centre is to promote research into various aspects of the internationalisation process of Ghanaian firms, most especially those exporting non-traditional products. Additionally DANIDA also contributes to the development of core research staff in International Business at UGBS by funding research activities of at least three PhD students from Ghana annually.
The Centre holds an annual export forum that brings researchers at the Centre together with practitioners to discuss key issues in the international business development process of Ghanaian firms. Currently, the Centre is sponsoring PhD students to study at Aalborg University. Below we have captured some key research outputs of the Centre:
