About UGBS

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), started off as the Department of Commerce on the Kumasi College of Technology (now Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)). The college was integrated into the University of Ghana in October 1962 as the School of Administration (SOA). The School of Administration was one of the premier institutions of business training in the West African sub-region.

Over the years, the School of Administration name has evolved into the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) to conform to evolving trends in management training and education worldwide. The primary mission of UGBS is the provision of world-class management, education and research to support national development.

UGBS, the premier business school in the sub-region, offers undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education programmes. It is situated at the heart of the University of Ghana campus, adjacent the ICT centre.
